Art + Real Estate
RFR believes in the ability of Art and Architecture to create uplifting and inspiring environments and a unique experience for tenants and visitors to enjoy.
RFR’s world-class public arts program was born out of the founders’ belief that merging art with architecture and real estate enriches both the urban landscape and the tenant/visitor experience, while maximizing property values and providing a unique identity and visibility for the RFR brand in its core markets. RFR’s art and architecture intensive philosophy has made a profound, positive impact on the performance of its properties, cultivating exceptional relationships with brokers and tenants, who view RFR properties as inherently unique, while helping to maintain peak occupancy levels across the RFR portfolio.
RFR properties have proudly displayed original art by such renowned artists as Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons, Jean-Michael Basquiat and Keith Haring, among others. In 2003, RFR President Aby Rosen formed the Lever House Art Collection, inviting artists to create artworks specifically for the Lever House lobby for extended viewing over approximately three months, and then purchased for the Collection.
RFR is an active supporter of significant cultural institutions including the New Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Public Art Fund and Art Basel.
